To Mark Davies for all the piccies from his digital camera without which the world would be
deprived of these pictures of Hyde Park skating... Mark also happens to be a certified skating instructor I can recommend so if you are in London and need a
lesson to learn from scratch or just improve your technique, please give him a call!
Hyde Park Regulars
Some of the many regular addicts that I hang out with on Serpentine Road on Hyde Park...
Serpentine Road - relatively quiet here, can be a really busy place to skate!
Mark showing a stylish T-stop
Nikki demonstrating the 'almost side surf'
Ken, who lets me steal his tricks...

Me, Damien, Amanda and Che (Oz)

Foot Tag
The childhood game of tag taken to a more hyper (and potentially very bruising) level - touch another person's skate with your own
is pretty much all there is to it! The only rules are no hands, stay within the 'boundaries' and the touch must be against the skate, not
the leg. When played by classy skaters like these guys it is awesome to watch - the ability to spin, jump and
skate in any direction is a must... a huge crowd pleaser...
Patrick hunts Ken - there can be no escape from this guy...
Being flexible helps - Henry tries a reverse slide tag
Patrick teases Ken - why not when you skate this good!
Bending the rules - Ken still fails to make the tag to our amusement!
The gallery calls for blood as Ken tires of chasing Henry
Slalom
Some slalom action from Hyde Park...
Ken - Backwards Criss-Cross
Ken - Special
Ken - Backwards One Foot
Ken - Crazy
Naomi - Crazy
Ken & Grant with pre-slalom dance ritual...
Bloopers
Like any quality production there are always out-takes... those moments when things go pear shaped for no apparent reason!
Thankfully more of a cause for amusement and hurt pride than serious - yet to see anyone badly hurt at Hyde Park beyond road rash...
Grant demonstrates the power-slide variant known as the 'palm-slide'
